How an engagement runs

1

Enquiry & scoping

You tell us what you're submitting and when it's due. We confirm scope, fixed fee, and turnaround within one working day — and screen the engagement against our conflict-of-interest register before accepting.

2

Engagement letter

A short engagement letter sets out scope, deliverables, timeline, and fee. Our General Terms of Business and a mutual NDA are available before you share anything.

3

Review

Every document is reviewed against the applicable standards and your project specification. Every finding traces to a specific clause — no vague comments.

4

Delivery

You receive the marked-up documents, compliance matrix, and Pass/Fail recommendation, plus a walkthrough call if you want one. You fix the gaps and submit with confidence.

What we review against

Reviews are anchored to the standards, regulations, and best practices that authorities and main contractors actually enforce on Nordic projects:

Standard TypeDescriptionConsequence if not followed
ISO standards
(e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
International management-system standards — quality, environmental, health & safety processes and documentation controlProcess and documentation gaps go undetected; no defensible audit trail for clients, insurers, or certification bodies
Building & statutory regulationsNational and local building regulations and statutory requirements applicable to the project's jurisdiction — the legal baseline for construction and fit-outLegal non-compliance; authority rejection, fines, or work stoppage
EN standards
(e.g. EN 13480 for metallic industrial pipework)
European harmonised standards — design, fabrication, inspection, and testing requirements for specific systems such as pipework, electrical, or facility infrastructureSystem fails inspection or premature failure in service; no valid basis for pressure/leak test sign-off
SFS standards
(e.g. SFS 6000)
Finnish national standards, largely adopting IEC/HD international standards — the enforced technical detail behind the legal baseline in FinlandTukes non-compliance; safety hazards; installation rejected at inspection
BSRIAUK-origin, internationally referenced building services guidance — commissioning management, testing, and handover best practice (e.g. BSRIA BG 2, BG 29, BG 49)Commissioning gaps not caught until operation; weak handover evidence trail
BREEAMBuilding sustainability and environmental performance assessment — credits tied to documented evidence at design and construction stagesLost certification credits; sustainability claims unsupported by evidence
CIBSEChartered Institution of Building Services Engineers — MEP design guidance and good-practice standards, often referenced alongside BSRIADesign intent not demonstrably met; disputes over whether installed systems meet the specified performance
Manufacturer / OEM recommendationsEquipment-specific installation, commissioning, and maintenance guidance from the manufacturer for the systems actually installed on your projectWarranty voided; equipment operated or maintained outside its certified conditions; premature failure

Every finding in our reports cites the specific clause or requirement it traces to. If a reference is uncertain, we say so rather than guess — that is the standard we hold ourselves to.
