Independence Charter
Independence is not a marketing claim. It is our product, our reputation, and our structural guarantee.
Our commitment
GRANSKA is an independent documentation review consultancy. We review your documentation against the standards and your project specification — and against nothing else. No commercial relationship, scope interest, or client pressure changes what a finding says.
This charter formalises that commitment for every engagement.
What we will never do
- We will not hold design scope on any project we review. We do not review documentation for systems we designed.
- We will not hold construction scope on any project we review. We do not verify work we performed.
- We will not hold project management scope on any project we review. We do not oversee projects we manage.
- We will not hold scope that creates conflict — procurement responsibility, equipment selection, or commercial relationships that could bias a finding.
- We will not soften findings to keep a client happy — even when it costs us the relationship or the revenue.
What this means for you
When you engage GRANSKA, you get:
- An unbiased, evidence-based assessment of your documentation — not filtered through anyone with a stake in the outcome.
- Findings that trace to specific clauses in standards, specifications, and documented evidence.
- A Pass/Fail recommendation you can rely on, because it was written by someone with nothing to gain from either answer.
And we accept what independence costs us:
- If an engagement would create a conflict, we decline it.
- If a conflict emerges mid-engagement, we disclose it — and withdraw if necessary.
- If a client asks us to soften a finding, we refuse and document the conversation.
Conflict-of-interest register
We maintain a conflict-of-interest register documenting:
- Every engagement screened, and every engagement declined due to conflict.
- Any relationships that could create potential bias — prior commercial relationships, shared ownership, or personal connections.
- Any instance where pressure was applied to change a finding.
Every enquiry is screened against this register before we accept the work, and the register is reviewed quarterly.
How we prove it
- Scope discipline: we decline work that creates conflicts, even when it costs revenue.
- Traceability: every finding cites its clause. Uncertain references are flagged as uncertain, never guessed.
- Our own QMS: we run our own ISO 9001-aligned quality management system and hold ourselves to the same documentation standards we review against.
- Transparency: conflicts, refusals, and pressure are documented — and we will tell you about anything that affects your engagement.
Questions about our independence?
We are transparent about our policies, screening process, and governance. If you have questions about conflict-of-interest handling or a specific project scenario, ask us — we would rather discuss a potential conflict openly than discover it later.
Independent by structure, not by promise
